Post 117 The Bible Shows That Wicked Plans From Wicked People Fail

Hello,

Are you fighting against something or someone? Are you sure you are on the side of the truth? If yes, don’t despair- wicked plans always succomb to those who are in the right and walking in the ways of the Lord.

Let me show you evidence in the Bible.

“The Lord is slow to anger but great in power and He never leaves the guilty go unpunished.” (Nahum 1:3)

In the book of Ester, there was an evil man named Haman who was prime minister and the most powerful official in the empire next to King Xerxes.

Haman became enraged when a God fearing Jew – Mordecai- wouldn’t bow down to him- so he decided to destroy all Jews due to his prideful rage. Because of  his postition as Prime Minister, he was able to pass a law regarding the genocide of the Jews, which would kill off Mordecai.   Thankfully, Queen Ester, Mordecai’s cousin who was also a Jew, was able to influence the king to stop this plot.

“Then King Xerxes spoke up and asked Queen Esther, “Who is this, and where is the one who would devise such a scheme?” Esther replied, “The adversary and enemy is this wicked man— Haman!” And Haman stood in terror before the king and queen.

To make a long story short, The King was lead to read some old historical documents one night and realized that Mordecai had saved his life a while back and therefore the king desired to honor Mordecai. This thwarted Haman’s plot to kill Mordecai and instead, Haman died in the manner that he had planned for Mordecai to perish.

Justice!

“Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees…”(Isaiah 10:1)

God works in mysterious ways. In another story in the book of Genesis, Joseph was sold off by his jealous brothers, into slavery. Joseph ended up being in charge of all of the food in Egypt and was able to save his family when the famine came. This is another example of evil plans turning out for the oppressed person and for the good of many people.

“Woe to the rebellious children, declares the LORD, to those who carry out a plan, but not Mine, who form an alliance, but against My will, heaping up sin upon sin.”(Isaiah 30:1)

Those who are in the “right” may have to endure tough situations until God steps in with his final act of justice. But, God will provide resources, peace, rest and joy for the oppressed person- until the “big reveal” of justice.

The evil situations that others plan against us, will eventually fall back on the wicked. God has many ways to bring justice upon the evil. Scripture shows us in the book of Deuteronomy that God allows illness, financial issues, thwarted plans and whatever else He needs to bring about pain so that the evil person will reflect and turn from his wicked ways. God sees all and will provide a grace period for all of us, but when God’s grace period is up justice is served by the Lord Jesus Christ.

New Living Translation
“If you set a trap for others, you will get caught in it yourself. If you roll a boulder down on others, it will crush you instead.”(Prov 26:27)

Don’t despair when you have suffered injustice at the hands of an evil person. If you are walking in obedience to the Lord, eventually, in God’s timing, you will see the tables turned- don’t give up!

Stay hopeful,

Lisa
