A purpose driven life is found when we decide to remove ourselves from a treadmill existence of sleep/work/eat/ repeat. The Bible states:
“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”(Matthew 6:26)
” Those who trust in their riches will fall,
but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.”(Proverbs 11:28)
The righteous person is not perfect- there are no perfect people. The righteous person is one who realizes their need for the Lord and has decided to turn their life over to God and follow His ways. This is where the Bible comes in. It contains 66 books of wisdom and states: “all Scripture is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”(2 Tim 3:16) .
The Lord speaks to us through the Bible and after we have put in the time reading, He will lead us to our purpose.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”(Ephesians 2:10)
Connecting with God through the Bible and through prayer we will eventually be lead to our purpose. One thing we know for sure -every single one of us has been given the job of leading others into a relationship with the Lord.
Since we live in the New Testament times, the Good News is that Jesus paid the price for all of our sins. God doesn’t willfully act to destroy us anymore. We do, however, still suffer the consequences of our sin as stated in this Scripture:
