Post 188 Do You Have Faith in Faith Or Faith In God?

Hello,

Many people have faith in faith, they say things like “It will all work out” or “I have faith that I will get XYZ.” This is affirmation faith or faith in our own words and ideas.

These are unfounded statements that have nothing to stand on, no foundation that will get the the desired outcome. Don’t get me wrong, many people have become very successful having faith in their own ideas and subsequent hard work. Without God however, our plans will cause us to suffer in other areas of life. We have to be careful to give every idea and plan we have for our lives, to the Lord. We must let Him decide if our desires can be accomplished or not. This will ensure that every single aspect of our lives will flourish- not simply our coveted business idea.

Everything flourishes when God is the One leading our life. Our work won’t interfere with spending quality time with our children and raising them with Christian ideals. Think about it, would God rather have us chase after a high income or spend time with our children during the 18 years we have them under our roof?

We do not need to worry, God will make sure that we have enough of everything, even college tuition, if we follow His ways. When we make space for Him and align our lives with His teachings, every season of our life will be lived to the fullest and there will be no regrets.

Can you think of anyone more worthy to rely on and guide our lives than the Creator of the Universe?

Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.”(Matt 22:29)

God gave us His words, His conversations, warnings and teachings about how to get through every aspect of life victoriously. Instead of saying things like “I will get XYZ because I’m willing to work for it.” We must say, “If it is the Lord’s will I will accomplish the things that I desire.”  This statement acknowledges that the Lord can see things we can’t see and because of that, He may not allow our desires to come to fruition or He may delay our plans.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”(Romans 8:28)

If we study the Bible and the teachings within it, meditating on what we have read, they will sink into our soul. It is also important to speak Scripture outloud so that we can hear it again and again, because…

“Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”(Romans 10:17)

Knowing that our faith get solidified when we continuously hear the Word of God, we begin to trust God more and more. We trust that He truly loves us and He truly desires to help us navigate life.  He knew the challenges we would encounter living in this sinful world and the depression and exhaustion that would keep us living far below what He created us to be, therefore He gave us His book- His journal of sorts, to guide, empower, and love us through life.

Turn to the Lord and have faith in Him. He can make everything work out in our lives, no matter how off course we have traveled. He has a plan A, B, C, etc. and He is never without a way to make our lives come to a flourishing finish!

“FOR WHATEVER IS BORN OF GOD OVERCOMES THE WORLD, AND THIS IS THE VICTORY THAT HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD- FAITH” (1 John 5:4)
