Hello,
Today I’d like to talk to you about morals.
Was there a time in your life that you knew beyond a doubt that some behavior was wrong? Then as time went on, more people were engaging in the behavior so you changed your opinion and morals. You might have said to yourself, “So many people are engaging in this behavior therefore it must be a viable option.” If you have to talk yourself into some sort of contentment with a behavior that seems to be more prevalent in the population every year, you have taken the bait of Satan who is looking to pull people away from the life the Lord wants us to live.
“Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know God’s will for you which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
Tolerance of any evil outlined in the Bible is the direct effect of Satan influencing our thoughts. He is the enemy of God and he wants us discouraged, depressed, addicted, distracted, lusting and striving for happiness away from God. He wants nothing more than to destroy the followers of his archenemy, the Lord- the Prince of Peace. Remember, the Devil is a fallen angel who wants to control people.
Think about this…if any behavior we feel like doing is okay, why do we need a Savior?
Let me say that again. If anything we feel like doing is okay, why did the Lord Jesus Christ die on the cross to save us from our sins? Even Mary the mother of God who was not living in any sin at the conception of Jesus, said she needed a Savior. Why? Because she was a human being and there was only one person who walked the earth sinless His whole life…The Lord Jesus. Mary knew that she couldn’t save herself, she needed a Savior.
“Then Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! For He has looked with favor on the humble state of His servant.” (Luke 1:46-47)
DO NOT RETHINK WHAT YOU KNOW TO BE TRUE! If you do, you are buying into the lies of Satan who is alive and well and gaining more ground than ever before! You may feel that you have more freedom by doing what you choose to do but you don’t. Satan has a noose around your neck leading you to “drink the poison” of sin so there are less followers of Christ in this world. It’s the oldest and biggest power struggle on earth!
I encourage you to dig into your Bible to be enlightened. Only then will you have the knowledge to fight against the tactics of the Devil. This is called “fighting the good fight of faith.” Essentially, it is knowing that all of God’s promises of peace, security, health and abundance are true, if we walk in the ways of the Lord and never give up!
Psalm 34:19
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
Psalm 91:7
“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.”
Nahum 1:7
“The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.”
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.”
God’s Promise:
“The thief (Devil) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”(John 10:10)
