Post 30 Let Me Explain…

Hello! I hope you are out enjoying the beautiful colors of this Autumn season, my favorite season of the year!

Some of you might have had a hard time conceptualizing my last post and the thought process of how losing at anything here on earth, could actually make one feel lucky – so I will go into a little more depth today…

I wish I could say that only a few of us will have to deal with the harsh situations in life – but the reality seems to be that almost every family I know has dealt with a heart wrenching situation. These can be turning points in our lives if we let them.

A devastation allows us to stop cold and examine our lives. This is our ground zero so to speak.  A place where human beings are of little use and God is the only true source of help. The Lord is our Father, He wants us to live a fulfilling, joy filled life. When He sees our pain and devastating incidents He wants to comfort us when we draw near to Him.  If you are like me, God was definitely on the back burner of my life until my ground zero.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8 ESV)

The event that tore my life apart made me stop, drop and kneel.  My life was very comfortable, full of fun and ease.  To tell you the truth, my prayer life was minimal and I didn’t always attend church – I was very distant from the Lord.  Getting back on my knees gave me a fresh start to reconnect with our heavenly Father who saw my sincerity to get close to Him again, and our Lord took it from there, guiding my life as I readjusted my life to the way He was leading me.  Once you start to follow His ways, you  know that you can trust Him to lead you to the very best life.  Beyond that, He will give you your part of the Great Commission, which is spreading the Word of God.

My part of the Great Commission is, in part, writing.  Yes, this science loving woman was lead by God to write.  Let me tell you that I hated English class- received my worst grades in English and grammar and didn’t want anything to do with prepositional phrases, adjectives and adverbs!  I am in a science based profession and I love it!   However, God has a different plan. He gives you an assignment that you could never accomplish without Him.  This is how He shows the world who He is and it brings Him glory.

Try not to get paralyzed when things don’t work out the way you planned; cling to the Lord.  Find and attend a Christian Church that teaches out of the Bible. (It’s necessary to understand the teachings in order for God’s truths to change your life). Starting off the next chapter of your life in this way, will give you the fresh start that you need.  God is in control and He has a good plan for your life.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jer 29:11 NLT)

” Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing”.(Psalm 34:10 NLT)

He sees your faith in Him and when you act like His child by starting a relationship with Him through His Word and you follow what He teaches – you will reap a harvest of blessings if you do not give up! A call from the Lord to Stop, Drop (your old life) and kneel, may just be the best thing that happens to you, I know it was for me!

God’s Promise:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”(Gal 6:9 NIV)
