The powerful Kingdom of God is available to all who will believe in Jesus and trust His Holy Words. All it requires is obedience.
When we finally come to the end of ourselves and realize life is empty without the Lord, we can exchange our current life of worldly pursuits and give our life to Christ, desiring to follow His teachings. People in the Kingdom have confessed their sin and repented (meaning they made a choice to remove a lifestyle of sinful behavior.) It also requires belief in Jesus’ death, resurrection and the impartation of the Holy Spirit power into all who believe.
“Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”(Matt 3:2)
“…Jesus went into Galilee and proclaimed the Gospel of God. “The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”(Mark 1:14-15)
The Kingdom of God was established on earth when Jesus was born. It is a powerful kingdom and the power is transfered to all followers of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. We must accept the kingdom (also called the ruling power of God) as children would accept something their parents tell them is true. It’s a supernatural space where prayers are powerful and miracles happen.
Being in the Kingdom gives us the ability to heal the sick, cast out demons that torment people with thoughts of suicide, depression and self harm, and lead people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus said freely I gave, freely we should give.
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve
10 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness… These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”(Matthew 10:1, 5-8)
God gave this authority to all who desire to be a disciple and follow in His ways- no one is excluded.
“ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”(Matt 28:19-20)
