Post 100 Are You Saved Yet Still Blind?

Hello,

Today I’d like talk to you about how believers in the Lord Jesus Christ can be without full sight of the Gospel.

In the book of Acts we are taught how Christianity was founded. The Apostles were visited by Jesus on and off for forty days after He was crucified and resurrected. This allowed the Apostles to learn from Jesus and to understand the supernatural power of Jesus. Jesus told them that after He went away the “helper” would come to everyone who believed and followed His teachings. (John 14:16) This power would allow them to lay their hands on the sick and the sick will be healed. This  power from the Holy Spirit will not completely fill us until we fully believe, fully repent of wrongdoing in our lives and decide to turn our lives over and live as God instructs.

“We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.” (Acts 5:32)

In essence, we don’t receive the full filling of the Holy Spirit until we have repented and stepped out of a life of sin.  After this, Jesus can live powerfully through our lives. This is the essence of Christianity- witnessing the power and love of Christ.

“Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me—or at least believe on account of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.…(John 14:12)

This is the most profound and the most difficult aspect for Christians to believe. Many will never understand!!!

“I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.” (Matt 13:17)

The power of the Holy Spirit isn’t limited to healing miracles or strength beyond the ordinary. It includes everything necessary to carry out the mission of spreading the supernatural power of our all loving Father in heaven. It isn’t limited to those that went to Seminary, in fact the Lord likes to use ordinary people. Peter and John, Apostles of Jesus- or in laymans terms, people who learned from Jesus- were able to perform miracles too. After Jesus left the earth He told all of His followers that the Holy Spirit would live within them. This power would work through everyone as long as they “walked daily” with Jesus- which  means reading and meditating daily on the Word of God and doing what it says.

“The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men who had had no special training.” (Acts 4:13)

“…….. for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”(1 Peter 2:9)

Partial obedience to God’s teaching is disobedience and this will halt the filling of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We may study the Word but lack the Holy Spirit power.

“They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!” (2 Tim 3:5)

“Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”(Gal 5:19-21)

“Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”(Mark 10:15)

The Kingdom of God is found here on earth in believers that live lives submitted to the Lord. The Holy Spirit lives powerfully in these people and God is glorified through them. It is difficult for the wealthy and the self sufficient to submit to God and therefore it is very difficult for these people to enter the Lord’s kingdom on earth.

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:25)

We aren’t talking about heaven here, we are talking about entering  into God’s place of abundance, peace, protection and power, here on earth, by submitting our lives to the Lord.

Many are still blind to this message….are you?

P.S. There is a book written by a former Catholic Priest who left the priesthood when the church was uncomfortable with His message of Holy Spirit Power working through those that believed. He had healed countless people from simple migraines to end of life diseases like cancer. It is a book worth reading yet difficult for the skeptic to believe. I have witnessed a handful of miracles in my own life. I have also worked with a cardiologist and surgeon who witnessed the Power of the Holy Spirit firsthand as well. For these reasons I can completely trust this message of hope and spontaneous healing.
