Achieving Success God’s Way

Achieving success God’s way is clearly outlined in the Bible in the book of Joshua.

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”(Joshua 1:8)

Dr. Charles Stanley delineates 7 habits of a Godly life and I have placed Scripture to back up these points:

  1. pray “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”(Romans 12:12)
  2. trust God  “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”(Prov 3:5-6)
  3. meditate on the Word of God “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”(Joshua 1:8)
  4. obedience:” If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.(John 15:10)
  5. depend on the guidance of the Holy Spirit:“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”(Gal 5:25)
  6. give to others and to God in time, talent and treasure:“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”(Luke 6:38)
  7. forgive so that we may be forgiven:”For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”(Matt 6:14)

If we follow these seven habits, we will have aligned our life with the Lord’s teachings. This surrendered life of obedience will always reap the conditonal promised blessings we are standing on.

Do you have a heartfelt need? Surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ. Otherwise we will be a slave to some human being or institution that can never give us peace, joy and countless blessings.
