Post 88 Everything Created By God Is Good

Hello All,

I hope that your new year is starting off well. Most importantly, I hope that you have decided to start reading the Bible this year to learn the profound truths of our Lord, so as to elevate your life from the mundane “work-eat-work-sleep” cycle to one of peace and contentment.

Many people will start their Bible reading journey in the book of Genesis, so I would like to start there.

In the Creation story,  God created in sequence: light, heaven, earth, vegetation, sun, moon, stars, sea creatures, birds, earth dwelling animals and lastly He made humans.

“Then God looked over all He had made and He saw that it was good, very good.” (Gen 1:31a)

Everything created by God is good. Every person, both the physically perfect and physically imperfect, have been designed exactly the way God desired. All people, both the planned pregnancies and the unplanned pregnancies were included in God’s plan of creation and everyone is loved by God. Nothing will ever change this fact.

Did you ever stop to think that if everyone was physically perfect, God would never be able to show His healing power in the lives of His obedient followers? Those that know the power of God and pray unceasingly for a healing miracle- are giving the Lord the opportunity to show His glory. In other words, our prayers during painful life issues, can open the door to His Kingdom if we are following His teachings. By molding our lives to the way He teaches us in the Bible, we are creating the condition where He can bring His power to earth.

“Thy kingdom come thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…”(Matt 6:10)

Think about this, what if our purpose involved giving God the opportunity to act in our lives?

After God created the earth He gave the authority to govern the earth to human beings and He said:

“Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Gen 1:28)

Humans have been given control of the earth and God will stay out of our lives until we let Him in. Although the Lord gives grace and provides unmerited miracles, the majority of our life story is a consequence of  the choices we have made. But God tell us that our lives can be a canvas that exhibits either human results or supernatural results. Even the most intelligent person in the world is no match for what God can do in our lives if we pray and ask Him to intervene.  Many people feel that it is up to us to figure everything out and chart our best course in life. We use our intelligence to think of the most sensible path that will give us the results we desire. But, Jesus said:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate” (1 Cor1:19).

This verse shows us that no matter how intelligent we are, we are no match for the Lord to chart out our lives. Everyone created by God is good and has unlimited potential through a relationship with Him, even if we start out handicapped in one way or another.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”(2 Chor 12:9-11 NIV)

This year, let’s have a new perspective on our lives. You may have a handicap or illness that seems to limit how much you can accomplish. Or you may be overwhelmed with your current stage of life and see no way off  the “life” treadmill. On the other hand, you may be retired and bored with too much leisure time. Whatever the case may be, God has a purpose for our ENTIRE lives and it won’t overwork us or stress us, but it will give us fulfillment. The only way we find it is through a close relationship with Him.

Won’t you open His Holy Book and search for Him with your whole heart, He has been waiting for you!

Have a wonderful week,

Lisa
