My name is Lisa- I have been a Nurse Anesthetist for the past 29 years, and an accidental writer for the past 9 years. I say accidental, because I never set out to be a writer. I had been studying the Bible faithfully morning and night for 12 years while negotiating my way through a devastating incident, when the Lord called me to write- the year was 2014. I knew enough to realize that when the Lord “speaks” it is wise to step out in faith. And faithful as He is, He has provided me with all of the subject matter to carry out this calling.
As the saying goes “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.”
I initially picked up the Bible because church services left holes in my understanding of the Lord and I knew that there must be more to learn about our heavenly Father. I was in a desperate situation and although I had diminished the value of the Bible at one point in my life, that Holy Book provided me with everything I needed to maintain composure and strength. I would like to share some hope with you and encourage you to pick up the Bible and start to read it daily.
My posts will take Biblical teachings and apply them to everyday life so that you may be able to use the wisdom that has been given to me to share. I will be posting once a week, usually on Tuesday’s.
